Good day to everyone!
In math class the past few days we have completed working on an exponential growth situation that dealt with population change of South American countries, with emphasis placed on Brazil. Students have handed in that material to be graded today, and will be posted by early next week. As for the Lesson 1 quiz which was taken on Monday, absent students this week have been completing the quiz, so that will be handed back on Monday. For families with Home Access, the grades have been posted, so you may access your student’s realtime grade in our class at this point in the marking period.
To also add, Team E has decided to begin an e-mail update on Mondays and Wednesdays that will include Math, English, Social Studies, and Science updates. With any specific questions regarding student performance in class, please contact the specific instructor.
Today in class students are completing a stations activity where they move around the room to different stations answering a series of questions in cooperative groups. These grades will also be posted either later today or early next week.
Thank you for your time, and have a great weekend!

Good day to everyone!
Just a note for everyone…yesterday’s quiz on Lesson 1 has been graded and all students who were present and completed the quiz have had their grades posted onto Home Access. You are welcome to check those out at your leisure. As for class today, we began discussing and will continue to discuss Lesson 2, Investigation 1 throughout the rest of this week.
We have also assigned an extension activity that will be due for student’s on friday. This is a task assignment which will be placed in the gradebook as an assessment. This is an open-note assignment any students may use whatever resources they would like to access the information. This is a similar paper to the quiz just taken, so the students are very familiar with the material discussed. With any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Have a great day!

Good day to everyone in Team E!
Today, we have taken a quiz on or material we reviewed, discussed, and evaluated in Lesson 1. We will be grading this assessment later today and hope to have the grades available to home access members by tomorrow at the latest. Students are welcome to sign up for after-school help for tuesday and thursday of this week. As always, per classroom rules, students must sign up one-day in advance in order to attend after school help sessions.
With any questions, please feel free to contact Mr. Land or Mr. McNulty either through e-mail or through the blog.
Take care, and have a great week!

Hey there everyone!
This week in class we have discussed the main concepts around the topics of rate of change and both exponential growth and decay. Since we have covered a significant amount of material in our class, Mr. Land and I both feel that it is time for a QUIZ!!!! This will be taking place on Monday in class. Parents, please remind your students to review their investigation packets to help them with the quiz material. These materials are their best tools for success on the quiz. They will have the entire class period, and calculators will be available.
Thanks again for checking in, and have a great safe weekend!

Good afternoon everyone!
Today in class, we continued our discussion on independent and dependent variables, along with evaluating several examples for slope, y-intercept, and rate of change. Tonight’s homework that will be due tomorrow is to complete up through problem #4 in the investigation packet. We will discuss the checkpoint and check your understanding in class tomorrow before moving onto investigation #3 in the second half of this week.
Students and parents, you can expect a quiz/test on lesson #1 either friday of this week, or monday of next week.
Have a great night!
